Realtime Transcription
Realtime
Transcription provides you instant access
to proceedings, enabling you to prepare for future
depositions, e-mailing
testimony to your litigation team, or viewing the
proceedings as they occur. Realtime is also used
to accommodate
people with disabilities or language barriers.
Please
Note: The more complete information you provide
our reporting firm (i.e. word list, Complaint, Answers
to Interrogatories) in advance to the deposition
or
proceeding, the more accurate your realtime translation
will be.
Your Notebook requires a USB connection for wireless realtime, the Tyler Eaton preferred method of transmitting a realtime feed to attorneys. If you choose to connect via wired realtime, a serial port connection is needed from your computer to the reporter’s notebook, enabling you to view the transcript in realtime. If your notebook does not have a serial port available, devices such as USB to serial connection and PCM/CIA serial cards must be installed prior to realtime session. Software for realtime viewing includes choices such as LiveNote, CaseView, Summation for Realtime. This software is used to receive the feed from the reporter and must be previously loaded on your notebook. Such software enables you to electronically mark testimony, mark the transcript for notes and/or issues, search for specific testimony, cross-reference with other witnesses' depositions and save the file.
